About The Site

Well hi there!
My name is Owen Ford, I'm a fourteen year old girl, and I run this blog with my friends and family! I created HOPES to raise money for WWF (World Wildlife Fund), specifically for Siberian Tigers! Our goal is $5,000, and we're about halfway there!

Along the right sidebar you can donate, visit our Artist Commission Page, take part in the current auction, see our current total, join our mailing list and a lot more!

Thank you so much for checking us out, we really appreciate it!

Has HOPES lost all it's fans?

Where did everyone go? Did you guys just get tired of waiting, too? Anyways, here's an update:

Paypal apparently didn't get our faxed documents. Mom is going to fax them tommorow!!! (AGAIN. ><)
Oh well, it will be worth the wait!
If you've stuck around, thank you, thank you, thank you!

Nope, I have you on my blog list and I keep lurking. We're right here with you. Maybe you should get a counter or a some kind of tracking map. You would be amazed how many people come by but don't post. You're doing fine, keep up the good work!

Agreed, we're all around - just quiet. Keep informing us of what's going on and in the end it'll all be worth it, you'll see:D

Still here, Owen... The counter is a good idea. You can also set up Google Analytics to see how many people look and what they look at (which "pages") - if they come to HOPES from a link on another blog.

That's the link to the home page with the sign up button if you want to try it.

I went to that analytics site, and got the code, but I'm not sure where to put it in my website. Does anyone knwo?

I'll send you some info about where to put the code in an email...short info is, on your "home page" - just before the end "body" (left carrot, forward slash body right carrot) tag (body html tags not allowed in comments...)

Not sure what you are using to edit your blog but if you search for the end body tag and drop the code in right before, you should be ok. You won't see any info until at least tomorrow morning...maybe morning after...I forget exactly how long it took the first time.

No, I check in every day,
I just don't have that much to say.
My neighbor's sick and under care,
I'm spending hours over there.

I'm sorry about that mjlayman-
And thanks again SO MUCH for the beads, I mean thank you, thank you thank you thank you.

You're welcome for the beads -- you don't have to keep saying "thank you"! I have plenty more here at home. :) If you want to see some of the things I've made, look here.

My elderly upstairs neighbor got moved to a convalescent home today to get therapy so he can walk, but when I went to visit this afternoon (his 87th birthday) he was very confused. I sure hope his mind comes back as well as the walking!

As another way to raise money, we auction things on E-bay. These things can range from hand drawn digital and pencil animal pictures, animal paintings, animal themed bookmarks, and more. No, not everything is animal themed, we just prefer it to be since we are raising money for animals. If you have something you'd like for us to auction, you can send it to us. As I'm 13, I have to always ask my parents before I give out the address, so you will have to contact me with some info about what the item(s) is, and such. Then I can give you the address. :D

Have some questions? Want more info? Care to donate? Contact us at:

We will reply within a day or two.

Thanks to Pyzam for the awesome Layout. Thanks to WWF for doing such a great job helping and protecting our wildlife. Thanks to all my friends and family who've helped. Thanks to MC for the name, it fits perfectly!!! The logo is (C) to HOPES, please do not steal, or re-use in any way. ( Although I couldn't draw a paw, so I heavily refferenced it, and I don't know who originally did it. ) We are a non-profit orginization. Any money HOPES earns goes to the WWF.
